A full remote control for your computer, letting your lord it up as a media-orchestrating maestro from afar using just your handset! Swish.
Judgement time...
WMouseXP doesn’t feel like a Windows XP application, it feels more like it should be on a Mac - it’s that simple to set up and start using.
Download the program, run it (not install) on your PC and it’ll send the mobile part direct to your phone using Bluetooth. No messing around setting things up yourself - WMouseXP does it all for you without flexing a single grey cell in your skull.
Once it’s installed on your phone too, the PC can detect when the handset’s in range and has WMouseXP running. From here on controlling your computer’s simple.
Mouse movement is controlled with the mobile’s cursor keys, and there are shortcuts to open My Computer, control music, video or a presentation and even fiddle with your computer’s volume.
There’s only one trick missed here - while the shortcut key for ‘music’ fires up Windows’ default music player, the same doesn’t apply to the ‘presentation’ key, which simply starts a presentation if Powerpoint is already running.
Aside from that, it’s a kick-ass little PC companion, and although you’ll have to pay for a fully working version it’s worth it if you’re the sort to enjoy music away from the keyboard, or give powerhouse presentations while stalking the room Gordon Gekko style spouting stuff like “money never sleeps, pal”, “lunch is for wimps” and “greed is good”. Please say it’s not.
