What’s the point?

See the bigger picture, then snap a photo of it! Panoramas let you show off huge locations using your phone’s camera.

Is it free?

PanoMan costs £3.93

Sold! How do I do it?

Step 1: Download PanoMan from the PanoMan website. The full version will set you back just under $9, but there’s a demo, so you can get to grips with it first. Transfer it to your phone and follow the instructions to install it.

Step 2: Fire up PanoMan from your phone’s ‘Applications’ folder. Hit the trigger button, then slowly rotate the camera to capture your surroundings. PanoMan automatically stitches together the images, so your panoramas look great every time.

Step 3: Tap the up and down buttons to fiddle with PanoMan’s settings. You can boost the resolution, or lower it so your panoramas take up less space. There’s also the option to change where your phone stores its panoramas. If you’ve got space to spare, use your memory card rather than your phone’s internal memory.

Step 4: Hit the left selection key to use PanoMan’s browser to take a peek at your panoramas. Open them with a press of the centre key, then scroll left and right to look around the scene. You can also choose to send panoramas by Bluetooth, infra-red or MMS – just tap the left selection key again and scroll right with ‘Send’ selected.
