It’s all hotting up for this week’s grand Nokia unveiling - and we’re not talking about the prawn vol-au-vents that’ll be doing the rounds. We’re talking about the fact that we’ll almost certainly be getting our first proper look at the revolutionary new N-Gage platform.

Now, Nokia’s been banging on about the relaunch of N-Gage for a few months, so we already know a bit about it: it’s coming to a wide range of Nseries and S60 3rd Edition handsets; and it’s got an Xbox Live-style multiplayer service that lets you take on your friends over the network. News of forthcoming games has started trickling in too - Crash Bandicoot and World Rally Championship 2006 to name a couple of big ‘uns.

But we reckon there’s still loads to be revealed, including a games-centric Nseries phone called the N97. As we said last week, this handset is ready to ram its steel toecaps straight up the PSP’s backside.

We’re quivering with anticipation, but luckily there isn’t long to wait now - the event is tomorrow. And we’ll be there. So stay tuned…
