We’ve just laid eyes on GEAR4’s criminally attractive new stereo Bluetooth speaker, and can’t help but picture it making wireless noise nookie with the similarly polished N81 8GB or N95 8GB. Dubbed the BlackBox (in a moment of inspiration, no doubt), there’s no hiding from the fact that this buffed Bluetooth desk speaker promises to be a must-have musical mating partner for Nokia’s upcoming music-loopy handsets.

Powered by four AA batteries the BlackBox is cable free, making it ultra portable and more importantly in my books, smooth as a dolphin! There’s a set of sleek touchpad buttons sat on top that smartly begin to glow as you approach, thanks to our friend the movement sensor. Plus, it comes with a remote should you wish to fuse with your couch and make like a potato.
At around three N95s long it’s perfect desktop size too, kicking out 24W of noise through a pair of speakers - so enough to ensure you can’t hear anyone around you asking annoying questions.
It only works with any Nokia blower packing A2DP stereo Bluetooth, so the current N95 and N76 are also decent dance partners for the upcoming BlackBox.
It’s slated to hit shops shortly, and it’ll set you back a penny under 100 quid. We’re definitely going to get our hands on one, so watch this space for the review.
