There’s armfuls of content on Nokia’s MOSH site. Here’s how to get the most out of it.
Sold! How do I do it?
Give and take
Like all good community sites, MOSH rewards its members for uploading as well as downloading. Offer up your own sound clips, videos or documents and you’ll increase your ‘creator’ rating, as well as climbing up the ranks of current MOSHers.
Watch what you download
Although it’s built around a community and the concept of sharing, MOSH can harbour pirate programs, particularly games. Keep your eyes peeled for any software that seems too good to be true and avoid downloading it. If you’re caught downloading dodgy apps you could land yourself in hot water.
Secret Documents
Documents you say? Boring aren’t they? Well, not necessarily. Mooching around the site you’ll find lots of interesting information hidden in MOSH’s documents section – including how-tos and problem solving tips. There’re also e-books for the reading, and that certainly beats a trip to the library.
Keep a collection
Whenever you upload anything, add it to your collection. It’ll increase your ranking, but also help you keep track of what you’ve uploaded.
If all your cool stuff’s in a collection it’ll be easier for others to keep an eye on you too. See, you can collect other people’s content, and make a name for yourself as a quality media specialist.
You can see which users are fans of yours on the profile page of MOSH, as well as seeing where in the world you’re most popular, so get collecting - fame awaits!
Share and share alike
Found something cool? MOSH lets you share it with an e-mail link. Yes, you’re right, that’s dull. How about free texts to tell up to 20 people a day about brilliant stuff for their mobile? That’s more like it, and like everything else on MOSH, it’s free!
