Why trot around the course with a pencil, when you can keep score in style. IntelliGolf Eagle OTA might have a chunky name, but it’s still a breeze to use. Not that we’d condone such activity, but you can also place a few side bets. Fiver for the first birdie anyone?
Judgement time…
IntelliGolf Eagle OTA might have a complicated name, but it’s deceptively easy to use. Even golf novices will find it simple, thanks to its fuss-free interface and hand-holding nature.
While it’s a little frustrating that player names can’t be longer than six characters long, it’s a minor quibble, especially when the rest of IntelliGolf’s features are taken into account.
The software will simply track scores for each hole, as well as totting up side-bets on the go.
You can enter details for a course manually, or search and download them for free from an online library – that’s incredibly handy, and works flawlessly.
Once a course’s details are tapped in, IntelliGolf can even use GPS to tell you the distance to the next target. It works well with the N95’s integrated satnav sensor, unlike some golf apps we’ve seen.
Overall it’s an incredibly simple golf buddy, and while it lacks the graphical sheen of some rivals, IntelliGolf is reliable, and packed with extra features. A real hole in one.
