Word reaches us from a very reliable source that we’ll see the N81 and N95 8GB before Apple can throw the iPhone at us. Word has it that the new new monster Nok’s will be hitting the streets in early November along with Nokia’s new music, gaming and online services.

With the iPhone set to land on November 9, it makes sense to expect the N81 and N95 8GB before then. Although our snitch was cautious with the an exact date, neither phone appears to be in full production just yet, they did seem confident on the first week of November. Nokia’s going to have a hell of a job getting the phones out the door before Apple starts flogging the iPhone, speciallially since pre-production units are still fairly thin on the ground. Still, it isn’t beyond Nok to pull it off. We’re hoping to get our hands on the new blowers before launch, but even that can’t be guaranteed.

Along with the new phones we’re expecting to see the new Music Store and N-Gage gaming service go live, both under the umbrella of Ovi - Nokia’s new Internet service.

We’ve had a quick trawl around YouTube and come across a couple of new N81 adverts. The first is a bit dull and standard ‘new device’ fayre. The second one though, is much more interesting. Posted by the guys at TheNokiaBlog, it’s part of the series which came out leading up to the launch. Dubbed The Next Episode, it is actually rather good and as a Nokia fan, properly inspiring. Up till now, we were all about the N95 8GB. Now we want an N81.
