A new version of the Flash video player for mobiles is on the way - and it’s going to give your Nokia’s web browser a shot of adrenaline.

Adobe has just dropped Flash Lite 3, a new mobile version of Flash Player - and Nokia has already committed to sticking it in new phones.

Why should you care? Well, Flash is a stupendously popular video player for websites, including YouTube, CNN and MySpace, and this new version supports both FLV streaming video and Flash 8 features - which means your Nokia’s web browser will be able to slickly run embedded vid clips and interactive animations - no more disjointed web pages and missing video windows.

Personally I can’t wait for this to drop onto my N95. Anyone for a bit ofChocolate Rain?
