What's happening on November 2?

Ricky over at Symbian-Guru has been getting all excited about his latest find. Sitting on Nokia’s site is a new promo page, pushing “The Next Episode”. Those familiar with anything Nok will know the next episode is the teaser campaign Nokia launched for the N81

Now, Symbian-Guru has two theories, both of them pretty strong. First up is the N82 - a five-megapixel toting candybar with similar specs to the N81, though with a bias on shooting stills. It hasn’t been given an official nod from Nokia, but bits and pieces have been appearing online which hint that an announcement is imminent. November 2 perhaps?

The Guru has also been getting excited about a new Internet tablet, with plenty to back up his theory. Price drops at Target and Amazon in the states (and similar price drops on Amazon in the UK) suggest a clearing out of inventory before releasing a new model. Could the next gen tablet be along the lines of the N81 or N95 8GB? Packing gaming prowess and Internet lovelyness? It’s certainly plausible. But on November 2?

Back in August, when Nokia told us all about the N81 and 8GB N95 along with Ovi, N-Gage and the Nokia Music Store, it said we could expect to see everything dropping in Q4 - basically somewhere between October and December. Now, we’ve been told, on the QT, to expect lots of goodies in November. Could the next episode simply be the launch date for the N81, new N95 or Nok’s Internet service? Perhaps it’s all of the above.

We just signed up on the Nokia page and added our email address. The email we got back in response said the date was actually November 1 and a URL hidden within the email made a reference to N81. Mmmm.

More when we know it.
