Keep track of conversations and avoid repeating the same message with Conversation, Nokia’s handy text re-arranger!
What is it?
An add-on to make your Nokia handle texts like an iPhone, grouping them by conversation instead of listing by date and time.
Judgement time...
It’s easy to waste money with text messages. Asking for the same details twice costs both you, and the person you’re pestering, cash. Nokia’s Conversation app aims to put an end to it, grouping texts together by sender, and then interleaving them with your sent items to make a conversation.
It’s a neat solution, and one used by other phones, like Apple’s iPhone, already.
Installing Conversation is a breeze, and it’s accessible either through the Applications menu, or by scrolling right from the Address book. Oddly, it’s not available under the Messaging menu, where its spiritual home lies.
For that reason, it’s easy to forget you’ve got it installed, and thus overlook it when it could be saving you money.
Remember it’s there, however, and you’ll find it simple to use and staggeringly fast. Tapping out replies is particularly pain-free and there’s the option to add icons to contacts, so they stand out even more.
What’s lacking? Skins, proper placement in the messaging menu and more obvious colour coding of speech from both sides of the conversation.
