Step 1 OS X Leopard won’t need new software to work with your Nokia as it’s completely backwards compatible with anything that works with its predecessors. However, you’ll need to update some software to get the most out of it. If you use Nokia Multimedia Transfer to shovel songs and photos to and from your phone, update to the newest version – it supports Leopard, and should run much quicker. It also has support for the newest versions of iLife, which come pre-installed on new Macs.
Step 2 If you use iSync to transfer contact and calendar information make sure you check for updates to your phone’s drivers on Nokia’s site. Don’t worry if there aren’t updates however, as Leopard should work fine with older Nokia plugins.
Step 3 Leopard makes Bluetooth file transfers super simple. Unlike the fiddly process in its predecessors, you can now right click a file, choose ‘more’ and select ‘send…’ to direct it to your mobile. You can also browse your phone by choosing the Bluetooth menu from the menu bar at the top of the screen, selecting your phone and choosing ‘Browse Device’.
