The search function on your Nok is officially getting better – and it’s all thanks to Google.
The world’s finest search engine is set to be part of the Nokia Search app from now on, and will be integrated into some of the new handsets unveiled earlier this week: the N96, N78, 6210 Navigator and 6220 Classic will all come with the jazzed-up Search app, and Nokia will be rolling it out to other mobiles at a later date (probably as a downloadable update).
So then, what does bringing Google on board mean for Nokia Search? Well, according to our Finnish buddies it’s going to speed up your web search, make it more comprehensive and improve its relevance – the idea, it seems, is to bring the Google-esque search we’re all used to on our desktop PCs to mobiles. Fair enough. Hopefully we’ll get to give it a try soon and let you know how slickly it works.
