Fancy taking on three of your mates in deadly worm-versus-worm combat – on your Nok? Well, there’s good news if you do, because Nokia has just confirmed that Worms World Party is heading to N-Gage.

Worms was one of the most successful games on the ill-fated original N-Gage, so it makes perfect sense for makers Team 17 to bring its brand of comedic ultra-violence to the all-new version. The game has been spruced up for the new platform’s 3D graphics capabilities, but the best part is you’ll now be able to get stuck into a multiplayer match on N-Gage Arena with up to three other worm-wranglers anywhere in the world. There’ll be an online leaderboard of high scores to compare with your buddies too.

The game will be available through the N-Gage service “in the first half of 2008” according to Nokia. We’re limbering up our thumbs and preparing to launch an exploding sheep already…
