It’s Friday, so it’s time once again for use to saddle up and gallop through the wilds of blog-land, lassoing any stray news items that we’ve not covered already and bringing them back to the NokNok corral. So read on for the juiciest Nokia-related news nuggets from the past seven days.

Dolby surround sound coming to mobiles

IntoMobile reports that the sonic wizards at Dolby are focusing their attentions on mobile devices with the imaginatively-named Dolby Mobile, an audio processing platform designed to bring “rich, vibrant surround sound” to phones and other pocket-sized media gizmos. According to reports Dolby’s demo at the Mobile World Congress was mighty impressive… but there’s no word on if and when the tech is coming to Nokia handsets.

S60 Touch, er, touched

The good folks over at Engadget got a chance to prod and probe the forthcoming S60 Touch interface at the Mobile World Congress. Here are some pictures of them doing just that…

Gameloft prepping six N-Gage launch titles

Symbian Freak brings us the news that mobile game emporium Gameloft will be bringing no fewer than six titles to the N-Gage platform on launch day. Apparently there’ll be 18 games in all available at launch (we still don’t have a date on this), of which Gameloft will be supplying Brain Challenge, Dogz, Midnight Pool 3D, Block Breaker Deluxe, Asphalt 3, Street Rules and Brothers In Arms 3D.

N96 photo light: tested!

Mark over at The Nokia Blog has posted up a video demonstrating the brightness of the new N96’s LED flash and video light. There’s not much more we can say about this – just check the video.
