Fight the flab, kick the habit and box yourself buff, all with the help of your Nokia!
Is it free?
Some apps are free, while you’ll need to shell out a couple of quid for others.
Sold! How do I do it?
Step 1:
First thing’s first - get rid of your bad habits using your Nokia. Download and install QuitmateME and you’ll be able to track your habits using your phone. It’s designed for smokers, but could be used to track any sort of bad habit.
Just fire it up and hit the ‘options’ and ‘smoke’ button whenever you have a cigarette. It’ll track the time and day you smoke (or eat cake, or have an extra espresso) and plot it on a graph. That means you’ll be able to keep track of your progress, as well as tracking how much money your habit is costing you!
Step 2:
Once you’ve got a handle on your unhealthy habits, install Nokia’s Sports Tracker software on your mobile. It’ll let you track your exercise routines using GPS and plot them onto a calendar, so you can see where there are gaps in your fitness regime.
The latest version even lets you challenge friends to tackle the same route and beat your time. It’ll work well for joggers, cyclists or anyone who enjoys exercising outdoors.
Step 3:
Boxing is one of the most comprehensive sports for building all-over strength, and there’s also a mobile app ready to train you up! Install Mobile Boxing Trainer and it’ll take you through exercises like skipping, shadow boxing and punch bag training, with appropriate rest periods too. Now there’s no excuse not to get in shape!
