Batch image processing on your mobile.
What’s it good for?
Rotating or filtering a load of photos all at once.
Judgement time…
Grab a top notch Nokia cameraphone and you’ll soon have snapped dozens of pictures. But sorting through them can be a tad fiddly. That’s what this app is designed to avoid - it’ll process armfuls of images with just a few button presses on your part.
Don’t be fooled by the name though - this isn’t a mini Photoshop for your phone. It’s ‘fixes’ are limited to rotation or greyscale filters, rather than more advanced tweaking or image correction, and it’s here where the main fault lies.
See, the most modern Nokia phones pack accelerometers inside, so they can automatically rotate pictures, leaving Photofix’s only useful skill being a greyscale filter, which could also be applied manually using Nokia’s own standard software.
That said, processing large numbers of files is a simple process, and if your phone doesn’t have an orientation sensor inside, it could save you a load of fiddling.
Overall though, we doubt it packs enough filters or ‘fixes’ to warrant a purchase. Lucky then that there’s a full three day trial available online. Our advice is to bag it, cram all your processing into those days, and see if you miss it after the trial has expired. We’re willing to bet you won’t.
