Synchronise your Nok with Google Calendar at the press of a button, and without cables.
What’s it good for?
Keeping your phone up to date with Google’s all-powerful web calendar.
Judgement time…
Nokia smartphones have the power to keep you organised on every level, but not everyone wants to use a calendar on their computer, or tap appointments direct into the phone. Instead, what about using a web calendar? Google’s Calendar is accessible from any computer connected to the web, but syncing it to a handset is tricky. Unless you use GooSync.
It’s a simple web service that keeps your mobile’s calendar and Google calendar up to date, regardless of where you tap in your appointments.
Setting it up is simple, thanks to all the settings being texted to your phone. One tap installs the service, and another synchronises data between Google and your handset.
It’s a slick solution that uses Nokia’s own Sync application on Series 60 phones, but it’ll work with almost all Nokia handsets.
Best of all, it’s completely free. Plump for the subscription service and you’ll be able to sync to do lists and contacts too. If you’re keen on getting organised, but don’t want to be tethered to a specific computer, or specific calendar software, it’s ideal.
