The Nok has just jazzed up its WidSets app, which delivers web widgets to your phone. A beta of version 2.0 is now available to download.
If you’re unfamiliar with widgets, they’re basically mini web-enabled portals, giving you automatically updated content in one place. So a Sky Sports widget will throw all the latest football and cricket news at your phone RSS-style, Twitter will display messages from your friends and so on…
WidSets simply offers a single dashboard for all these widgets, bringing them all together in one application. And the new version is faster loading, slicker to use and way more polished: you can move and rearrange your selected widgets on the dashboard, for instance. It also links into your mobile’s other functions properly, so now you can open links within widgets in your web browser or make a phone call without having to close down the app. Good stuff indeed, so if you want to grab it for a trial run head over to the WidSets site now.
