We’ve just peeped a new handset on the Nokia press site. Dubbed the 6300i, it’s an updated version of the 6300 with Wi-Fi and built-in Nokia Maps.
Oddly, the Nok hasn’t sent out an official press release announcing the 6300i yet, but photos of the candybar blower are already up on their website, and according to a report on MobileBurn it’s sporting Wi-Fi and a 512MB microSD card stuffed full of maps – which would make it the first S40 phone to feature Nokia Maps, fact fans. There’s no mention of GPS, unfortunately, so it seems the maps are just there for browsing rather than satnav. Elsewhere there’s an integrated Opera Mini web browser, FM radio and 2.5mm headphone socket.
There’s no release date or pricing info just yet, but we’ll let you know when Nokia gives the official word…
