Fancy watching television on your N95 8GB? Of course you do, and soon you’ll be able to do just that, because Sling Media is bringing its Slingplayer Mobile software to Nokia’s multitalented maestro this spring.
In conjunction with a Slingbox set-top box, which hooks up to your TV, satellite box, DVD player and whatever else is in your living room, as well as your home’s broadband connection, Slingplayer is able to stream pictures and sound to your mobile’s screen via the Internet – so just hop on 3G or a Wi-Fi hotspot and you could be catching up with Eastenders from your hotel room in Singapore, Sydney or San Francisco.
A Slingbox costs about £100, and Slingplayer Mobile is £19.99. It already supports a few S60 phones, like the N95 and E65, and look out for N95 8GB support in the next few weeks.
