ADnota: integrated geotagging for your snaps, totally free!

We’ve just spotted the first app that automatically geotags your N82 and N95 photos – a piece of freeware called ADnota. Sure, Nokia’s Location Tagger will work in a similar way, but unlike that ADnota doesn’t have to be launched separately – it integrates itself into your snapper automatically.

Using GPS, the app inserts your current geographical coordinates into every photo you take, allowing you to later plot your snaps on a map. You can do this in-phone using Nokia Maps, or online using Flickr.

That’s about all you need to know about ADnota, really. If you like the sound of it you can grab it by heading over to Symbian Freak, where we saw the story. N82 owners may want to hold off a week or two, though – rumour has it that an imminent firmware update will add integrated geotagging courtesy of Nokia’s own Location Tagger.
