We’ve kept a close eye Nokia’s pliable Morph prototype ever since it was unveiled to incredulous onlookers at the Design and the Elastic Mind exhibition, where we uncovered its other-worldly properties. Now we can reveal that as well as shape-shifting to fit your arm, changing colour and even cleaning itself – we kid you not – it also contains nanosensors!
Nano-who? These little critters will be able to detect changes in their environment and inform users about viable wireless hotspots for example. They could also analyze and measure the pollution levels in your surroundings and help you make health decisions.
It’s unlikely to hit the shops for another six or seven years, says Nokia, but we’ll be waiting for you dear Morph with all your nimble wee nanosensors.
