Ever wished your Nok could automatically flip its screen from portrait to landscape when you turn the phone, just like Apple’s (spit) iPhone? Well, Nokia has answered your prayers with yesterday’s firmware update for the N95 8GB.
Version 20.0.016 firmware is available now, and aside from a few bug-busting fixes its chief addition is support for ASR (that’s automatic screen rotation). With the handset already equipped with a motion-sensing accelerometer, all Nokia had to do was add a few extra lines of code. Nice one, Nok – now let’s have a similar official ASR update for the vanilla N95 as well!
The firmware also improves Bluetooth headset support and implements a number of other minor changes, so it sounds well worth grabbing if you own Nokia’s flagship blower.
