It had to happen sooner or later but the world’s largest virtual online world is set to extend its avatar-led tentacles to the mobile phone.
Vollee, the developers behind this mobile game, is hoping to roll out a Beta version by the end May and if you’re interested in taking your Second Life on the road then you can already register/
‘Second Life: The Mobile Years’ is still in early production so details are a little thin on the ground, but we have been promised that residents will be able to do everything on offer in the full-fat PC version. Although, obviously the graphics will be pruned to fit smaller screens.
One thing is for sure, you’ll need a 3G-enabled Nok to properly reap the online benefits, although compatible handsets haven’t been confirmed as yet.
