Nokia and T-Mobile team up to push mobile internet

Nokia and T-Mobile are trying to get us all using the internet more on our mobiles by providing easier access to their online services.

As a result you’ll be seeing a lot more of T-Mobile’s web’n’walk service and Nokia’s Ovi portal when you fire up your phone’s browser. Nokia will be integrating the various web’n’walk offerings into its T-Mobile handsets, so they’re just a button click away.

Nokia has a range of online offerings, such as picture sharing, music, maps and games through Ovi while T-Mobile has its community oriented MyFaves feature and various internet services. T-Mobile has already signed up to be the exclusive distributor of Nokia’s 6650 handset so we should hopefully see how the agreement pans out when it’s available in July.

T-Mobile could also be a bit quicker at issuing firmware updates for the likes of the N95, so if the close co-operation manages to iron that out we’ll be happy bunnies.
