Twitterfone has added voice capabilities to micro-blogging service Twitter, so you can now phone in what you’re doing.
Twitter allows you to post short, 140 character messages - or tweets - on what you’re doing which can then be read by your friends. You can add messages either by posting directly on the website or via text message.
The new service from Twitterfone now lets users leave voice messages too, which are converted to text and then posted to your account. Perfect if you want to quickly send a tweet but haven’t got time to type it up.
You just need to phone a local number, leave your message and the system will then transcribe it to text and post it to your Twitter account, just like a normal tweet. The service is free to use and the only cost is the price of the call to leave a message.
The service is currently invitation only, but if you want to try it out then you can sign up on the site to get an invitation when the next batch are released.
