Want a better Google Reader on your Nok? Use the iPhone version!

Feeling a bit left out that Google is spending time on special iPhone web apps? Don’t be, as you can use them on your Nok too.

The folks over at Symbian Guru weren’t put off by the Google/Apple love in and decided to try it out on a trusty N95. The result? It works (and looks) way better than the normal mobile version of Google Reader.

First you need to set it to a zoom level of 75 percent and then you can see everything properly. This release gives you pretty much all the functionality of the web version and it’s much slicker than the dusty old Wap-like one we’ve had to put up with until now.

You can even star items by pressing next to their titles. Now, if only Google would see that it wouldn’t be that hard to create fully featured mobile versions that run across all models instead of just focusing on the iPhone that’d be great.

Click on over to Symbian Guru for a video comparison of the two versions. You can find the new Google Reader at www.google.com/reader/i.
