Nokia best loved British brand!

Turns out more people get a tear in their eye when thinking of their trusty Nok than any other brand in the UK.

Nokia topped the poll by Marketing Magazine and Joshua G2, which quizzed over one thousand punters about which brands made them go all gooey and which got them all hot and bothered.

Tesco took the number two spot, with the iPod coming in a cool third, leaving O2 and Facebook to complete the top five.

When the public was asked to concentrate just on mobile phones Nokia still topped the league, followed by Sony Ericsson and Samsung. Motorola managed to pull in a number one too - unfortunately it was for most hated handset, closely followed by Siemens and then, shock horror - the iPhone. Take that, Apple.

It wasn’t all one big love in for Nok, though, as N-gage still has a bit of catching up to do - it was ranked as the most hated handheld gadget. Most loved carry-round toy was the iPod, so no surprises there.
