It seems that Nokia’s Sports Tracker software is getting less and less sports-centric with every update - not that we mind, given that the latest version adds the ability to share video clips taken while you’re out and about.
Version 1.76, available now, allows you to capture video on your workout which, thanks to Sports Tracker’s GPS-using talents, will appear in the correct location it was filmed when you view your journey on a map later on. You could already do this with still photos, so we’re not too surprised to see video pop up in the features list.
Of course, this does mean that what started off as a fairly straightforward GPS-using workout tool is now more of an interactive journey-recorder for location-obsessed multimedia bloggers. So it really needs a name change, and from the sounds of it may be getting one soon - head over to the Nokia Beta Labs blog if you want to table a suggestion.
