With the working week coming to an end, we’re all looking forward to three days of lounging around in the sun/rain/sleet (yay for Bank Holidays!), but before we nip off to stock up on disposable barbecues and meat products, we thought we’d trawl NokNok and beyond, picking out the ten biggest news stories from the past seven days. Read on for this week’s Top Ten!

1. Nokia working on touchless 3D interface

We’re stilling waiting for Nokia’s first slew of real touch screen phones, but apparently work has already begun on control interfaces that don’t even need touch - they just respond to gestures and waves. Bring it on!

2. Nokia Maps 2.0 gets official

You’ve played with the beta, now get down to business with the real thing. Yep, Nokia Maps 2.0 is finished and available for download. Get it, get it now.

3. Metal Gear Solid smacking up N-Gage soon

Yes, it’s true: everyone’s favourite cut scene-tastic, semi-impenetrable Japanese stealth ‘em series is heading for Nokia’s N-Gage service. “Snake? Snaaake!!!”

4. Snakes Subsonic slithering onto N-Gage this week

We reported on this earlier in the week, and it’s actually out now! If you’re looking for another game to add to your N-Gage collection, give this puzzler a try.

5. Nokia Sports Tracker: now with video!

Sports Tracker continues to pile on the features, with the latest version adding location-tagged video clips to the list. Not really sports-centric, we think you’ll agree - but extremely cool nonetheless.

6. Nokia E66 surfaces

Over at Engadget Mobile they’ve snagged some details on a forthcoming business-minded handset called the E66. Apparently it’s got HSDPA built-in, which gives it an edge over the E65.

7. Pre-order an N96 - for £700!

The N96 is right around the corner, and All About Symbian has discovered that you can even pre-order it SIM-free from Expansys. The downside: they’re asking for £697 for it!

8. N-Gage games locked to a single device. For now...

All About N-Gage discovered that the Nok had made it its policy to lock N-Gage titles to whichever phone they were downloaded on - which means you can’t transfer games to new Nokia devices. Boo, hiss, etc. However, since the story went live Nokia has said it will work on a system to allow transfers. Huzzah!

9. Joikuspot: turn your phone into a Wi-Fi hotspot

The Nokia Blog takes a look at a new app that transforms your Nok into a wireless access point for your laptop, PSP or whatever else. Click through to see a video clip.

10. Nokia N96 already cloned in China!

Can’t wait to get your mitts on an N96? Well, some Chinese knock-off merchants have already brought out a handset that looks remarkably like it - but in all honesty is probably about as next-gen as a pencil sharpener. Click through for a hilarious video presentation.
