If you’ve ever had your mobile phone pinched by a light-fingered tea leaf you’ll know it’s a pretty horrible experience. Not only do you have to replace your handset, but you have to live with the knowledge that some scummer is walking around with your photos, contacts and other personal information.
But not if you’ve invested in WaveSecure Lite, you can avoid that. This app locks down your mobile as soon as your SIM is replaced, rendering it totally useless - and all its data inaccessible - until the correct PIN is entered. Not only that, it’ll automatically whizz an SMS over to one or more nominated contacts (your mate’s phone, say) informing them of the thief’s phone number. If you wish, you can also set the handset to “scream” when the perp messes with its SIM, emitting a loud alarm.
Of course, none of this will get your mobile back, but it’s guaranteed to ruin the thief’s day, which is at least something.
