Marble Madness-style ball balancing comes to your Nokia. For free!
What’s it good for?
Giving your reflexes - and nerves - a thorough workout.
Judgement time...
If you’ve ever played classic games like Marble Madness or Super Monkey Ball you’ll instantly get the gist of FlashBall - you have to guide a ball through precarious mazes, avoiding the sheer drops at the edges and the various tricks and traps that lie in wait.
The controls are as simple as the concept: you use only the cursor keys to nudge your sphere left, right, up and down.
Easy as it may sound, it’s a real bugger of a game, with every level bar the first chucking in tricksy tiles to send the ball hurtling over the edge. Roll it over a red tile, for instance, and the controls are reversed, while green tiles don’t allow any control over the ball at all - you just have to hit them at the right speed and trajectory. Most levels mix things up a bit, and some of them are hair-tearingly hard to beat.
All in all, this is a great independent title that won’t cost you a penny, and interestingly it runs in Flash Lite player (just make sure your Nokia has it installed to play - you can download it here).
