In a nutshell...

One handy portal delivering instant access to news, weather, sports, maps and more.

What’s it good for?

Booking cinema tickets, seeing if it’ll be sunny or wet next week and arranging your flight and hotel for this year’s summer hols.

Booking cinema tickets, seeing if it’ll be sunny or wet next week and arranging your flight and hotel for this year’s summer hols.

Judgement time...

If you’ve got the time and inclination you can use your Nseries mobile for a heck of a lot of things (of course, being a NokNok.tv reader, you know this already...) - booking everything from a cinema ticket to a holiday, checking up on the weather forecasts, keeping an eye on the footie scores, eyeballing a detailed map to get you where you need to go.

Pocket Express doesn’t add anything to this extensive list of talents, but it does bundle a load of them together under one banner. This app is a convenient portal offering turbocharged access to a shedload of info, making it really handy if you don’t want to flit between different applications on your phone.

The homepage, or “PageOne”, has quick links to news, sport, weather, money (stocks and shares info), entertainment, reference (a dictionary), travel, maps and technical support. There’s also an “Extras” page which lets you download games and ringtones at an extra fee.

The services all work pretty slickly, although you’ll have to download a lot of info if you use it constantly, so an unlimited data plan is a must. It only updates what it needs to, but it’ll rack up the megabytes nonetheless.

The app itself is free, with charges for certain services, making it well worth at least a trial. Like we say, if you’ve got patience and time you can access all its functionality on your mobile anyway, but if time is limited and you’re constantly on the go, this simple app could prove essential.
