Coming from the same firm that brought us the pretty decent Handy Weather, Handy Converter is a software application that does very much what it says on the tin: converts all sorts of figures.

In fact, it’s able to convert currencies, clothing and shoe sizes, lengths, weights, volumes, areas, speeds and temperatures. The latter few criteria might not be things you often find yourself needing to convert, but the ability to check prices and shoe sizes when you’re on shopping on holiday could prove very useful indeed.

The app runs slickly and thanks to its simple layout and clear graphics, it’s really straightforward to use - mainly all you have to do is key in the figures you want converted. Currency exchange rates can be downloaded on to your phone as and when they’re required.
