It’s taken a while - ages in fact - but it looks like the N96 will finally get its time to shine in September. That’s when you’ll be able to snap up Nokia’s latest multimedia marvel on Three - the wait is almost over. Almost.

Currently, the only way of getting hold of one is to donate €759 to help save red pandas in Nepal through Nokia’s Face The Task website - and that only guarantees you’ll be top of the queue, you’ll still need to wait until it’s shipping in your county before you can actually play with it.

But by the time you’re packing away the barbeque and thinking about getting your winter wardrobe together, you’ll be able to pop down the high street and pick up an N96 to cheer yourself up as the long nights start to draw in.

It’s a toss up between the N96 and the Tube 5800 XpressMedia as to which we’re most excited about - but at least we now have a date to look forward to. Roll on September.
