We’ve just spotted some spanking new shots of Nokia’s upcoming touch screen Tube doing the rounds on the Internet, including one that suggests it’ll be dubbed an “XpressMusic” handset - not “XpressMedia” as previously thought.
The Nokia Blog highlights the fact that an XpressMusic label is clearly visible at the top of the phone in the first image, although quite what this means for the 5800 Tube is up for debate: does it mean there’s going to be more focus on music skills and less on video and photography than we previously thought, or is it just because XpressMusic is an established Nokia branding and XpressMedia, well, isn’t?
The other three snaps show off the Tube’s camera screen, a typical-looking S60 menu screen packed with icons and an on-screen QWERTY keyboard.
The report also discloses some of the phone’s specs, although we’d suggest you take these with a pinch of salt:
640 x 360, 16 million colour TFT LCD touch screen
Symbian S60 5th Edition
Touch screen interface with haptics
3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and auto focus
Dual LED flash
GPS
HSPDA, EDGE, Wi-Fi
Bluetooth
3.5mm headphone socket
TV out
Interesting stuff. We’ll bring you more on the 5800 Tube as we get it.
