There’s an invitation doing the rounds at the moment inviting press members to an event on Monday where they’ll get to see two new Noks a week before they’re officially launched. It looks like they’ll be Nseries models, but other than that details of what will be announced are sparse.

The text of the invitation reads:

“Take your favourite seat and discover all the detail on two new Nokia handsets ahead of the official launch.

“When: 18 August 2008 @ 8am UK time

“An exclusive ‘invitation only’ opportunity to see two new Nokia handsets one week ahead of the official launch. The pre-brief site will provide insights on Design, Services, Software and Product Management on the latest handsets.

“…all from your favourite seat”

Given that the N96 is pretty much announced now and the 5800 Tube isn’t an official Nseries device, our money is on the N79 and N85 - given that spy pics of them both popped up at same time. But who knows? We’ll just have to wait and see comes Monday morning - we’re setting the alarm early already.
