Nokia’s Ovi service may have started life as a place to upload your digital snaps and share the odd bit of video, but in the past few months it’s become much more than that. You can now sync your contacts with the Nokia cloud and even use it to access files while you’re out and about. With so many new features available, Nokia is laying on a special virtual event this afternoon.

The electronic doors open at 15:00 CET, which if we’ve worked out the time difference correctly means that it will all kick off at 14:00 in the UK. You’ll need to pull up a virtual chair at http://events.nokia.com and sit back and enjoy the presentation. There’ll also be a Q&A session afterwards, so if you’ve got any niggling questions, that’ll be your opportunity to air them.

The event will mainly be looking at the new syncing capabilities, so if you’re desperate to get everything backedup and in step it’s definitely worth a look.
