Touch is so last year - who wants mucky paw prints all over their screen when you can achieve the same thing by waving your hand in front of the display instead? It may sound far fetched, but Handwave lets you do just that so you can interact with your Nok while maintaining a safe, smear-free distance.
The app is the work of developer Samir, who also created the RotateMe utility that automatically switches the screen from portrait to landscape when you turn your phone.
By using the front mounted camera, Handwave can recognise gestures - like moving backward or forward - so you can tell your phone what to do just by waving at it. The app will be available to download later today from AikonLab, but in the meantime you can see a quick video demo below:
