Ever since we heard about the N96 at the tail end of last year, we've been waiting to get our filthy mitts on one. We had a brief fondle back in February, but now it looks like the wait is almost over - the N96 is available to order now and we've finally got some prices to run past our accountant.
First up, if you're feeling brave, we might as well get the offline price out of the way. If you want to nab yourself Nok's most feature packed telly-toting handset without tying yourself into a monthly contract then it's going to cost you - drum roll - £629.20. It's not cheap, but at least it's the right side of a grand.
If that's a bit too much for your wallet to take in one go, then the good news is that both Orange and O2 have announced they'll be carrying it, which means there should be some good competition to entice you one way or the other.
For the cheapest deal, Orange will give you an N96 for nothing if you sign up for a £35 a month deal for 18 months straight - which works out at £630 total, but includes a big wedge of calls and texts too. If you're looking for something a little less binding, you can get a one year £50 a month deal, which will set you back £600 over the course of the contract.
Skipping over to O2, if you want to pay nothing for the handset you'll need to shell out £45 a month on an 18 month deal. Overall, Orange seems to have the edge at the moment, but that could change any moment. For the full rundown, head on over to Phones Limited now.
