While we're all patiently waiting to see if Nokia has really snuck forward the introduction of its touched up Tube 5800 to the 2 October it looks like some sites have jumped the gun a little and are taking pre-orders already.
However, given that big Nok has yet to even acknowledge the phone officially, it'd probably be a little bit foolish to hand over a few hundred odd pounds to a site you've never heard of just because it's got a picture of the handset and some shaky specs.
Unwired View did a little digging into one such site and found remarkable similarities to the specs it posted in a speculative piece and those that appeared on a phone seller's site. What's more, the site in question was selling them for $499.99 which isn't exactly a small chunk of change. It may well be legit, but given you may only have to wait three more days for official confirmation it seems a little foolish to risk pre-ordering just yet.
