Nokia has given the N-Gage gaming platform its first major update, adding support for the upcoming N85 handset and tweaking and fixing various other features.

One major fix allows players to amass more than 10,000 N-Gage Points (a process that could take some time and cause some severe sore-thumb syndrome) - doing so previously could cause the app to crash unexpectedly.

Support for the N85 suggests the LED screen-equipped handset will be hitting the streets before long, but we still don't have a specific date for its launch.
