Britney loves to shock and this time, it’s with some outrageous Nokia product placement in her new Womanizer promo. We’ve already seen Morgan Freeman whip out his Nokia ‘Tube’ as it was called then, in Dark Knight and now Britney Spears is flashing hers in the promo for her latest hit Womanizer.

Best of all though, if you pause the video in the right place you can even read the cheeky entry in the 5800’s scheduler that says “April 20 – Product Placement Meeting”.

The cameo on Britney’s video is the most audacious outing so far for the 5800 XpressMusic, with several more conspicuous appearances throughout the song. The phone actually belongs to the womanizer in the video and at one point Britney kicks it out of his hand just before smashing his face in a photocopier. Don’t worry though, the 5800 is OK and crops up again later.

So what’s next for the attention-seeking handset? Could it be Barack Obama’s new running mate perhaps, or will it be clamped to the pope’s ear during his next address? Sadly all of the product placement opportunities in The Quantum of Solace were snapped up early on by Sony Ericsson.
