So, while the rest of us were patiently waiting for Nokia to start shipping its latest N96 megaphone, some lucky beggars have already had one for a complete whole month.

While this obviously isn't fair, we can at least tap into their 30 day trial and get a much better view of what the N96 is like as a long term companion, rather than how it stands up to a quick speed date down a Carphone Warehouse.

Jason Goh, over at Smash Pop has just published his thoughts on one month with the N96 - in handy love and hate form.

On the plus side he's smitten with the large screen, the vertical shortcuts on the menu screen and the super loud speaker (although fellow bus users may disagree on this last point). On the not so much side he'd prefer beefed up build quality, a speed boost and an improved camera (although he does note it's better than his old N95 and N82).
