It's been a bit quiet on the Beta Labs front of late, but that doesn't mean the engineers have been sitting around with their feet up. Far from it, in fact, as they've been running around putting the finishing touches on Friend View, Nokia's latest location based app.

It's a bit like a combining Twitter with an app that knows where you are - so you can see on a map where people you know are and what they're doing. If that all sounds a lot like Plazes (which Nokia snapped up back in July) we wouldn't be surprised if there was some sort of collaboration between the two teams on this.

Interestingly, it's available as both a PC and S60 app - and it will even run on other non-Nokia S60 phones too. If you want to give it a spin, you'll need a Nokia Account first, then head on over to Beta Labs for the full skinny. For a quick video rundown, hit play below.
