The N96 has already had a patch or two so far, but word is that a major software update is on the way to solve any niggling issues that still remain.
The new v12.035 release is apparently already floating around Nokia internally and making its way to Nokia Service Points in preparation for its proper release. It should hit Nokia Software Updater in the next week or so, all being well.
It's unclear at the moment what all the changes are, but it's believed that it will address most of the major issues as well as increase the overall speed and stability of the handset. Hopefully it'll be available as an over the air update too, for hassle free upgrading.
