I can't wait. That's how bad it is. Right now it's 4.33 in the morning, I've been for dinner, had a few (too many) beers and I'm so excited about what might be coming, I can't actually sleep. I've even taken to shooting shots out my window (yes, it's a roundabout, and no, it's not exciting). But, I'm glad I'm here, who wouldn't, apparently the Symbian Guru himself is here, though I haven't seen him yet.
So what's coming? No idea. Last year, we got well, a whole lot of not much. The year before? We got the N95. Are we on an every other year thing here? We could be. I have some interesting interviews lined up for later on today (I don't think I can actually justify going to bed) so that suggests we might get something more worth writing about than last year.
On the back of our story earlier, Stuff reckons we're going to see another touchscreen device. That'd be nice, but I suspect it might just be official sales kits of the previously announced 5800 (hey, maybe we'll all get one at the party later tonight, that'd be cool!).Even Reuters are getting in on the act, citing Analyst sources as saying "Nokia is going to release something interesting".
So, I guess I have to put my money on a new device, after all that. But it could equally be just another service. I've heard we could be seeing next-gen Nokia Maps, but no detail on what it might contain. With the current love of services, it wouldn't surprise me. But then, neither would a brand new Nok. I've got my old N95 just in case.
