Solid Snake has stealthily crept onto Nokia's N-Gage service in the mobile edition of classic tactical espionage game Metal Gear Solid.

Available now from the N-Gage store and priced at £8.00, the title boasts some of the best visuals yet spotted on a mobile phone. In fact, from our brief play the graphics look almost as good as the original Metal Gear Solid on PlayStation.

It's not the same game as that, however, as it's been specially tailored for mobile phones. For example, you can use your Nokia's camera to capture colour samples for Snake's camouflage suit, which is fairly nifty.

Anyway, the game is available now for all N-Gage capable Nokia mobiles, and if you don't fancy shelling out the best part of a tenner straight away you can, as ever, give a free trial version a whirl. Happy sneaking.
