Despite being one of the first big name games to be announced for the new N-Gage platform, Worms World Party is still nowhere to be seen - and there have even been rumours of its being cancelled by publishers THQ Wireless.

But fans of the cartoony strategy combat game needn't worry - according to the official N-Gage blog the game is very much still in development and will be released some time in 2009.

We have to confess we're very happy to hear the news. Turn-based, strategic and easy to play with only a few buttons, Worms World Party has always seemed like the perfect mobile phone game to us - and the original version was one of the more popular titles on the first N-Gage platform a few years back. We'll bring you more on the 2009 remake as we get it.
