What if The Cloud doesn’t deliver?

Ewan over at All About Symbian has kick-started an interesting discussion about the future of the internet. His concern being, what will happen if we rely too heavily on The Cloud for managing our programs, and more importantly out data? We can’t really on companies, even Nokia, not to change what we like and to can some services. Ewan’s advice is to ‘never lose sight that the person your data is most precious to is you. Installing Nokia PC on Windows 7

Windows 7 may well be in Beta for the next 12 months but that hasn’t stopped people seeing how stable the current fix is with their Nokia software. One for the Brainiacs

If Windows 7 doesn’t daunt you then you’ll love this – Nokia’s Qt cross-platform UI and application framework for desktop and embedded platforms will be available under the Lesser General Public License (LGPL) version 2.1 license from March 2009. In a nutshell, Nokia wants developers to work on adopting a standardised platform, which means we all get the good stuff they produce quicker and more stable. With the scent of the weekend heavy in the air, it’s time to think about kicking back and taking it easy. Over at the N-Gage blog you’d think it’d been weekend all week as they’ve a listing of the top selling games of the last week.
